North Carolina

The Piedmont

  • Cramerton Railroad Bridge -- An early 1900s closed-spandrel arch bridge built by the Southern Railway that continues to carry trains.
  • Jackson Creek Road Bridge -- A small and graceful open-spandrel arch bridge over the Uwharrie River that has been bypassed and abandoned.
